Broker's Comments

Beautiful 53' customised traditional wooden motor cruiser.

She was originally built in 1939 as a Thames Survey vessel, thereafter she was extensively rebuilt by the current owner in 1974 since then she has been in the same family, she is very well maintained to a high standard.

Unique opportunity to own this handsome craft powered by Twin Gardner 6LX engines that have been well maintained. She would make an excellent live board as she has plenty of internal space spread over 6 cabins with potential for charter work, also note that both masts are not through deck and therefore can be lowered.

Due to change in circumstances the price has been substantially reduced and the owner is open to offers as they are keen to see the boat moved onto another passionate owner.

This beautiful vessel has 7 permanent sleeping quarters but can sleep 12 comfortably, she has cruised to Norway 20 times demonstrating her excellent sea keeping properties.

Gentleman's live-a-board yacht North Yorkshire.
On close scrutiny of the photos it seems to reveal that some areas of the hull planks are in questionable condition likely from rot and require a lot of attention. Has any serious investigation been undertaken to investigate this?
Also as I mentioned before, the condition of the base of the masts at the tabernacle levels seem to show signs of the start of some wood-rot. Again, has this been investigated?
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks
